FAQs

What should I expect when I visit?

At YCC, we feel that it’s OUR responsibility to “clear the way” for you to come to church. We want you to be able to experience the great music, encouraging messages, friendly people and enjoyable atmosphere that are a part of YCC.

What does YCC have for my family?

Our family would love to welcome your family to church next weekend. We have opportunities for each member of your household to enjoy themselves as they encounter God through the Bible and other people just like you.

As you look at the links on this page, you’ll see a personal note from the pastors who lead our children, youth and adult groups. We hope this helps you to get a personal and friendly first look at YCC, but we realize that this is just a web site. The best way to find out all that’s here for you and your family is to visit us this weekend.

What’s available for my kids?

We know that as a parent you need be sure that your children are in a SAFE learning environment. And we know that your children are looking for a FUN place to learn. We’ve invested a lot to make sure that both of these goals are reached. You’ll see that in the buildings the children and students meet in, and even more in the volunteers who work with your kids. For more information, check out the Children and Youth pages.

What are your beliefs?

The mission of Yucaipa Christian Church is to turn irreligious people into fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

The sole basis of our belief is the Bible, which is uniquely God-inspired, without error, and the final authority on all matters on which it bears. As the Bible teaches, there is one God, eternally existing in three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – each possessing all the attributes of Deity.

God created humans to have fellowship with Him, but they defied God by sinfully going their own way. As a result, we need God’s saving grace to end our alienation from Him. Salvation comes only through God’s saving grace – not human effort – and must be received personally by repentance and faith.

Jesus Christ, second Person of the Trinity, lived a sinless life on earth and voluntarily paid for our sin by dying on the cross as our substitute. This accomplishes salvation for all who receive grace by trusting in Him alone. He rose from the dead and is the only mediator between us and God. He will return to earth to consummate history.

The Holy Spirit draws sinners to Christ and equips believers for personal growth and service to the church. The church’s role is to glorify God and serve those in need. At the end, everyone will experience bodily resurrection and the judgment. Those forgiven through Christ will enjoy eternal fellowship with God. For more details, please see the “What We Believe” page on this site.

What should I expect in church?

You’ll enjoy upbeat music and practical messages that help you deal with real life issues. What you learn on the weekend, you’ll be able to use during the week.

Whether you join us in the main worship center or in EnterActive, we want to help you connect with the personal hope and practical help that God can give us.

What should I wear?

We’re more concerned with meeting your real life needs than with what you wear. So, dress casually and you’ll fit right in.
