Children’s

Our Philosophy

“Behold children are a gift from God; they are His reward.” (Psalm 127:3 TLB) The key to our ministry is relationships. We seek to provide good models in our lay personnel who work with our children weekly. These volunteers must reflect Christ-likeness and be committed to loving and developing children into His likeness through an attractive, involved and relevant study of God’s Word.

We encourage caring relationships between our children. Play times, project work, and small group activities all emphasize this important aspect of our philosophy.

Another important relationship we strive to encourage is that of the parent-child. Deuteronomy 6:6-9 points out that parents are the primary teachers of their children. Therefore, in our Children’s Ministries we seek to help equip and stimulate parents to reinforce Christian Education in their homes by using the tools we provide for them, such as weekly take home papers, Bible memory work, quarterly parents’ newsletters and family oriented activities.

The primary relationship we seek to establish is that of a child’s personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
