Men’s Ministry
Men’s Ministry
Service and Sacrifice, the deacon, like the Levites of the Old Testament were to prepare
the temple for the offering of sacrifice for the sins of God’s people. Today the
comparative to the alter of sacrifice is the Lord’s Table and the sacrament of communion.
This is the essence of Christianity – the forgiveness of sins through Jesus Christ and the
gift of salvation offered to everyone who believes Eph 2: 8-10. We know that nothing we
do can payback this gift, however, we also believe in the joy and honor of serving our
King and to be a living sacrifice. Rom 12:1-2
Aside from attempting to fulfill the admonition from 1st Timothy 3: 8-13
The men’s ministry (deacon’s) board does a number of things behind the scenes as well
as plans events for the building up and encouraging of men to walk closely with our
Lord. The deacon takes care of the physical aspects of the church. Preparing for the day
